A person has faith our doesn't. theres no in between.theres no such thing as a little bit of faith.faith is a pure total undoubting thing . the power of the Spirit of God works thru those who have faith. for the people who don't have faith , well. there open to the influence of the Prince of the power of the air.everyone has free will.Prayer can open up the power and greatness of Gods will.and it will work thru you .when you pray with total faith in God and his Spirit then miracles will happen .and that his will .will be done. The power of God is wonderful.I praise God for all things. no matter what has happened.only thru the Spirit of God will we find spiritual truth.this is where all real truth and spiritual freedom awaits .No people are not turning into atheists.most people know instinctively that there is a soul in them ands that there is a spirit of God within them. and That there is a God who loves them. But people are in the world. and are sometime s caught up in the material world so much it takes there minds off Gods greatness.or there just lazy.or they have been hurt by someone in a religion. or they rebel against there parents.or something bad happened and they blame God. it takes some doing to be with God and his Spirit. Its called having faith.may Gods will be done in my life and yours. I hope you have a great New Year.

No doubt about it. lilttle by little the entire planet will become atheists and than humans can go where no man has gone before without the restrainbts of religion.
Even muslims given enough freedom will eat hell out of a ham sandwich and stroll though playboys rather than the koran. Didn't you see what they found in Saddams sons houses?

Preachers, and clerics are desperate today to get new converts, hold old ones, and fidn new excuses as to why god doesn't show himself.

Everyone has that little atheist in their heads telling them that something just doesn't make sense with religion. Unfortunately, only some people listen to it. Others simply claim it's satan and go on with their lives

Little by little? Do some believers have atheist pinky fingers to start out with? Odd.

I would hope that in a time of increased violence around the world, more materialism, elitism and commercialism and a decline in democracy and values, that people would be thankful for their freedom, embrace some type of spirituality and get together to make the world a better place.

Thank God, no! There will be very few left, but not everyone will become Godless. This is the picture of the One who is the Yes, and Amen, who never tell lies:

9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“ Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”

13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
14 And I said to him, “Sir,[b] you know.”
So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. 16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters.[c] And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Revelation 7:9-17

May we all be found in that group.

Seeing as people are more educated, yes. Also, we are all born Atheist but some turn to religion because they fear the unknown.

Not me. I'm happy with my spiritual path.
I would like to point out that I do not believe that atheists are trying to "convert" me, nor do I believe that their path (or lack thereof) is any less valid than my own.

Every year 1% of people become atheists.

(I've always been an atheist though.)

For many people it's more a case of God or faith being irrelevant and ambiguous than simply turning to atheism.
