Too much of Mama's cooking!
I was VERY gassy on the plane yesterday from eating Mom's greens, black eyed peas, strings beans, etc.
I feel sorry for the guy who sat next to me!

I'm HOPING that you're wondering what might have led to the build-up of gas in your stomach to the point that it was painful. So that is what I will answer.
You could have a food allergy or irritable bowl syndrome. You could also have just eaten a plate of dinner with an ingredient that typically causes gas, such as garlic.
If you want to avoid it in the future, try keeping a food diary and seeing if there is a common pattern. If the same foods are causing the same discomforts, then try eating less of it or cutting it out of your diet completely.

Too much holidays is what it sounds like to me. Tums or Rolaids or Alka Seltzer should help relieve symptoms. Try lying on your stomach and massage the area as well.

Um, you have gas... therefore, you've got gas, and passing the gas makes the gas go away and your stomach feels better...

you could be lactose intolerant because your enzymes are not able to break down the lactase in dairy products...it is very common
