I am in my 30's and have smoked over 15 years> My resolution is to quit. But how can I help my skin, it looks so lifeless and tired! I was gonna try Olay Regenerist or Total Effects, whats the diff between the 2 and which is better for my situation? Any other tips?

Plz dont send me to buy anything online, I can't do that. Need something not too expensive I can get at the local drugstore or walmart. THX!

Well, quitting will be a good first step. Many people can't pull off that resolution, but I wish you luck in that.

While the Olay products are okay, I'd try the new Wexler line at Bath and Body Works.

While these answers are a good start, you really need to visit a dermatologist if you want an assessment of your skins condition and how to correct it. Yes, it might not be cheap, but its better than trying one of the products above and later finding it was a waste of time.

Good on you for working on the quit thing. Giving up is the best thing for your skin. Drink lots of water and include plenty of fruit and veggies in your diet. Also give exercise a try as that will make a big difference to your skin's tone, texture and colour.

That doesn't mean you need to workout hard, just go for a walk everyday, or swim or whatever for 30 or so minutes.

If you really do want to purchase some lotion, many different studies has shown that the cheaper creams often work just as well as the more expensive ones, so do your research and don't pay too much.

Good luck :)

I would go with Olay Total Effects. Good luck with quiting smoking. I am quiting too. I use Mary Kay Microdermabrasion. You could also look for a Microdermabrasion kit at Walmart. That will work wonders on your skin.

Hey qt,

Congrats on quitting!

Go to the drug store and buy pure vitamin E oil, 28,000 IUs. Mix it in your hand with your moisturizer.

You won't see the difference because it is so gradual, but others will.
