Council of Nicosia, they edited the Bible to fit their own image, and left out the books that didn't give them a image they could control. It was why all the Gnostic texts were refused, like the Gospel of Jesus' wife Mary. She was the one that knew him the best.

O.k. this is a very good question and people have asked this and answered it in many ways without really realizing the truth as you have.
If you think of the original church as a buissness it's easier to answer this question. No, I'm not saying religion is coruupted or anything like that it's just easier to relate it.
I will start off actually with a little background to set the stage.
In the beginning Christians had a thier own holucost until Rome converted to Christianity. All of a sudden they had a whole lot of power (Rome was as powerfull as the U.S. is today). However they needed to write up a Holy book for thier people to follow much as the other religions had back then.
Now towards buissness and the creation of the Bible. They needed three things; truth, continous money flow, and something to follow. They needed all 3 of these things without going against the church.
Now as you know in buissness truth doesn't always help. So they had to edit it to make sure the Church would not be hurt and would make money. Think about it who gets 10% of the money the Bible speaks about God or the church.
Now in order to make people follow you you need a couple things; either respect or fear, and something truelly to follow.
The church used fear in the beginning and the morallities of the council of Nicea as something to follow. Again they couldn't let anything stand that would hurt these things so they did some more editing. In other words took some stuff out and added some stuff.
But with all this editing the Bible was very confusing and the truth was kind of lost. So again they needed more editing unti it flowed right and sounded true thoughout the entire Bible.
However there was a few things they did not count on; people going against the Bible and really looking at it, perceptive people who can read between the lines, and times changing the morality of the World.
You can find all kinds of examples of these things throughout the Bible. However it is still based on truth. The eaiest way to see the truth in the Bible or any other Holy book is easy. If something dosen't flow right or contradicts itself then something is wrong there. In other words if God, Jesus, or any Holy person acts one way and then changes totally in a few places then you know something is fishy.
It's kind of like your best friend if he/she did something out of charecter you would really be worried about them. I can show many of examples of this in any Holy book however since I believe you've already seen most of them I will end my answer here.

Actually, the idea that the council of Nicea was deeply divided and had to do a lot of revising and editing is a bit disingenuous. True, there were some changes made to church doctrine. But, the vote on the diety of Christ for instance was overwhelmingly in favor and nearly unanimous. There will be differences and disagreements any time you get a large group of people together, but there was not as much division at Nicea as many would have you believe.

Yup it sure is the word of the Concil of Nicea! Christians worship the scriptures of Constantine. When the bishops of the west not those of the east, went into a covenant that has ever sense disenfranchised christians from the message and created this whole Monarchy/self defeating/appeasement doctrine. It was there when they created the whole Jesus-God, trinity, and took at important concepts and principles to fit more in line with the agenda that served politics rather than the people. That's when what Paul predicted as the take over of satan (Satan symbolic of course) in the church happened. And the whole system is virtually dead and of this world. Like a body with no invigoration.
Did I mention how afterwards the Rome emperor ordered the complete genocide of anyone that did not accept this corrupted version. They killed all the Gnostics and Ebonites.

The Council of Niceae did not edit of Scripture but primarily met to clarify who Jesus was in relation to God the Father (Christology), as there were many controversies at the time.

The word of the Council of Nicea of course. The study of how we came to have the bible is just one of the things that forced me to leave Christianity and become pagan.

the worship of the God Osiris ( the mother of creation , the mother of heaven ) started in Rome in the first century. 250 years later this Mary worship was introduced and has been a fixture of the church of rome right down to our day. All scripture translation has fallen foul of human interpretation according to the understanding of that contemporary era , be it the king James version or whatever. The bible is the letter of God but we must seek the truth . there are many scriptures that are misleading owing to the translaters understanding like the use of the word hell etc. and being tormnted forever.

Yes, the councils held in the 4th century determined what Christianity is as a religion. Constantine's role is interesting.
Although we are well aware that the councils of the 4th century determined the content of the Bible (and defined Christianity itself), what are we to do with this awareness?

have you read any of the Bible? I know the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Bible has been scrutinized for years, yet there is no evidence against it's claims. There are sooooo many historical and geological facts that have been found to be accurate in the Bible.

The Council of Nicea has nothing to do with the canonization of the Bible. Wiki is your friend.
