During the 18th and 19th Centuries thousands of English, Irish and Scottish men came to the West coast countries of South America. Started Ranches, Shipping companies, even were political leaders. Ever hear of Bernardo O'Higgins? Colombains come from the Spanish as well as the Indian. Many Spanish are fair skinned and blue eyed with blond hair.

Spaniards can be very light skinned. Spain has a strong mix of cultures in their history....middle eastern, African, and European. And Spain conquered most of South America, bringing those traits with them.

why not? if your grandfather lived in columbia most of his life, then i would say that he probably stayed indoors. i think columbia is being controlled by drug lords who'd send people to attack ANYONE that had ANYTHING that SEEMED valuable.
Why they weren't put out of power? People with problems all go to the drug lords. We tried to stop the drug lords by bombing their fields of drugs, but there were food hidden in the fields, and as a result, even MORE people went to the drug lords.
yeah... we americans did so well to stop drug lords in columbia...
