We've done the Chuck E Cheese and bowling parties.
It must be inside, and not at my house.

My son turns 7 this winter also. We aren't having a party this year though because I'm wearing out. We normally have it at the house but other ideas are:

Movie and pizza
a sport center with a rock wall
Lazer Tag is crazy fun!
He had a martial arts party with a moon bounce last year when he was taking martial arts.
McDonalds
children's discovery museums also can do parties

uumm.......... hmmm, good one. I was a winter baby and it sucked, i never really had many bday parties...just cake, ice cream and a gift or 2.
ok, theater, arcade, rock climbing at the mall as someone mentioned.
Mc Donald's,rent a roller rink.Or rent a go cart track.Or an indoor paint ball area ( turn the guns way down and make sure they wear head gear*).
Monster truck show, rent the community center and then do things you would do at home such as crafts and games maybe laser gun fights.Or let them have a cake fight outside..or..snow fight if there is snow.lol
If you rent the community center, you can bring a TV and a game cube and allow the kids to have a game tournament with something like looneytoons golf.
Be as creative as you can.
But don't worry too much, i have 3 boys and trust me.......you get a bunch of them together and they will make their own fun.

Get a suite at a hotel with an indoor swimming pool. Your son will get the cool swim party that all winter babies (like me) dreamt of as a kid. In my experience, most parents will want to stick around and help supervise. It's a win-win. Worn out kids and extra help from parents. Good luck.

if you have one near you try an indoor ice skating rink! they are a lot of fun and usually have an instructor for young kids.
