Bad. I used to tan all the time. I used to go to the tanning bed on my lunch hour. Then at 29 I found I had skin cancer on my face, and a couple years later on my chest. After getting it, I found that the late 20's and early 30's isn't as uncommon as it used to be...imagine how I felt having to get a spot the size of a nickel cut out of my face (lucky my dermatologist did a good job) but now, approaching 40, I still feel and look kind-of young, but if I hadn't done all that damage to my skin I'd probably look real good. I'd stay away from it, if you want a tan that bad, I'd have one sprayed on.....

it is horrible for you. The person that said something about the graph is lying. The fairer your skin is, the worse it is for you. They can cause cancer and aging skin.... you know those leathery people yeah, they tanned too much either in the sun or in the tanning bed. If you tan outside in the natural sun, then wear some sunscreen and it lessens your chances... tanning beds, horrible.

When I was younger I always went tanning. But when I turned 23 I stopped I now only use self tanners. They work great and don't damage yours skin. I will never use a tanning bed again, they are so bad for you.

Tanning beds are not really a necessity in life. Those who use them have an issue with their self esteem. They feel they have to look a certain way to get by in life. It is not a natural process and I would have to think it causes problems with your skin.

I personally think that it doesn't matter. People were pretty much made to be in the sun, so why not? Oh, and the cancer epidemic is just phewie, for use of a fun word. If anyone paid attention they'd see that most graphs are altered, cancer rates really aren't higher then they've ever been.
