I have a TV with compnent inputs, i got component cables today and hooked up my ps3 to my TV with it. I went through and set the ps3 to use compnent cable settings and the picture looks a tiny bit better than without it, but i went to turn on 480p settings and the picture gets all offset and it looks like it mirrors itself. IS this the ps3 or the TV?

Your TV probably does not support 480p. So, set your PS3 to 480i

I don't think your TV supports progressive scan. The "p" at the end means progressive scan. Its an old tube type tv, right? I think it's the limit of the TV. Check out LCD, widescreen HD, PS3 likes.

The PS3 is best with 720p or 1080p TVs...I would suggest getting a HDTV!
