I read on here that if you put paprika in your yard it will keep stray cats out. Do you put it on the perimeter of your yard or what?? TY!

I don't want to shoot any animal. I have stray cats that keep coming in my yard and our dog BARKS ALL NIGHT LONG! He has a 20x10 pen and when we tried to let him out to scare the cat, lol, he just played with us. Not even worried about the cat! So, that doesn't work for us. I don't want to HURT a cat. And hubby wants a pellet gun but I think that's mean. I need some help! I've read other post on here about how to keep them out but we live in a VERY rural area with a BIG yard and I need something that's not going to hurt our wallet or the animals.

How about keeping your dogs in the garage or inside at night?

Most people use the very mild paprika in their cooking. Cayenne pepper would be a better choice. You put it where the cats are digging and depositing their bm's.

If you can catch them coming into your yard a good blast with the garden hose works wonders. You only need to get them about two times and then all you need to do is head for the hose and they will head out!

It doesn't work. There's not really much you can do about it besides getting a dog. Unless your the type who will actually shoot cats.
