This is something I had always thought as something not serious or for people with some social disorders, but now, with so many things to do during the day I have no time left to go out and meet new people, any comments, experiences on this theme, I would really appreciate your advise.

It can be effective and serious, yes.I know from previous experience, BUT one thing you must make sure is that he is in the same STATE as you.It really sucks if you cant see the person you're in a relationship with when you want to, instead of going on vacations and spending unnecessary money to see someone you dont know what the hell is doing when you're not together! Make sure your feelings are mutual and you understand that both of you want to carry out a serious relationship with each other. Good Luck and have fuN!

I can tell you form my personal experience that it can be a great way to meet people. For anything from just friend ships to serious relationships. I am getting married in March to someone i met through on line dating. we have been together over a year and I have never been happier. I think it is a more effective way to look at someones personality with out the time it takes meeting people conventional ways....you already have some sense of that person before you even talk to them. Hope you meet some one great!

it works for some and not for others,, with me being in the military sometime it is hard for me to meet people do to a crazy work schedule,, i have used it twice,, both times have resulted in me getting married to the girl,, the first didn't work to well,, ended up getting divorced after a yr. but that was do to being gone on so many deployments,, then i tried it again 2 yrs ago,, and have been married 9 months as of today.

It can be effective and depending on which one you use it is serious. I recommend e--harmony.com. I have a relative who found his true love who became his wife on e-harmony. He did have about three or four worthless connections before her but it was well worth his time and easy to do.

*** i think it's the same as any other dating in that u have to watch out for the liars. the difference lies more in the fact that it's usually a long distance relationship. don't be naive and you're fine.

I used it, and now I am laying on the bed beside of my girlfriend I met on a dating service.
They normally match you on things such as personality traits, and many other things more than just looks.
I have dated a few, but the last one has been really good.

My sister met her husband. They celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary in December. You can meet creepy people everywhere, so you will need to be careful.
