It took me four years to grow two feet, so about six inches per year, so say about three inches per six months. You can't jump start hair growth, and cutting it does not speed up it growth. The hair grows at the roots, not the ends. I recently cut it, which pissed me off. I had it 2' 6''. I hate it short. Anyway, any shampoo is really good, but DO NOT INCREASE THE AMOUNT. Less is fine. Takes hours to get the soap out if you use to much... the horrors of thick and long hair... Never use to much conditioner, but then again, don't skip it. I contradict, also, do not brush / wash upside down. That only creates badass snarls. Any other questions just e-mail.

generally, hair grows 1/2 an inch a month (so about 6 months on average). But there are some things that influence growth rates -- genetics, hormones, age, stress, season, and nutrition. Hair often grows faster in the summer. Increased fruits and vegetables actually do increase the rates of which it grows (increased vitamin intake), and protein can be a limit hair growth (especially if its curly hair! the hair requires cysteine to make the di-sulfide bonds in protein structure which causes the curling... remember -- hair is protein, so not enough protein in the diet will limit the growth rate). Stress can reduce growth rates and cause increased thinning.
Cutting does not stimulate hair growth on the head.
Most important for maintaining longer hair is to make sure it gets enough moisturizer from the shampoos and conditioners, and also that the oil from your scalp reaches the tips of your hair (otherwise, the ends get brittle, dry, and look unhealthy and dull... running your fingers from your scalp then through your hair works great)... making sure you have plenty of omega 3 and 6 (flax, raw nuts, and fish oil are good sources), can help maintain really healthy, silky, shiny hair. Also, don't over wash long hair -- remember, the ends of long hair can be up to 3 years of age.

It really depends on the person. Well there are vitamins that do help a little though Ive never tried them. For instance my hair grows naturally fast. For some people it may take years to get the length they actually want. If ya really wanna see results just dont cut your hair at all not even to cut the bad ends off. When your hair gets long then u can worry about that.

Let's see, it's been 4 years and counting for me. I had short hair and it is now near down the bottom of my back. I think it grows an 1/2 inch a month, so x by 12 =6 " a year.Be patient, it's worth it.

your hair grown half inch per month.
cheap shampoo is OK- its the conditioner that makes the difference.
if you have oily or dandruff hair, there are shampoos specific to your needs, but normal hair can go with anything.
Panteen is a great conditioner.
if you have colored treated hair, color smart by matrix is good!
BIO-TEN is the vitamin that you would use to make your hair healthy and strong, also good for your nails.

Wash your hair with your head upside down. Do the same when drying it with a hair drier or just brushing it. I don't know how much it helps but I've heard it does. I do know for sure getting a lot of protein with speed up it's growth because hair and nails are 95% protein.

decide for it! yet i say dont decrease it in a pixie its an exceedingly drastic replace and u would omit your long hair. try reducing it on your chest that way in case you dont like it it wont take as long to strengthen yet once you finally end up loving it and are available to a determination you do want a pixie you may bypass lower back and shrink it lower back.

working out makes your hair longer and if you want it to grow 3 inches, it usually takes about 2 months if it is growing at its fastest
