10, but 3 got defused and the cops shut down public gatherings. Was almost a 100 people dead instead of just 3.

Things in Bangkok have not been greatly affected by the bombs that were intended as a show of presence of the ancient regime. Thailand is a generally safe country and is very welcoming. Foreign governments will issue travel warnings - that's their job - but on New Year's Eve, Monday 1st and today Tuesday 2nd everything is calm and back to normal.

There were several bomb explosions on New Years Eve in Bangkok. Yes, some people were killed and others injured but things seem to be business as usual in spite of it. The investigations continue and at this time of the two major suspects, Islamic extremists or Thaksin supporters, the Thai authorities are leaning heavily toward those people who have their underwear in a twist from having lost their power in the recent coup d'etat....
I live in Thailand and it isn't stopping me from going about and doing things.

Yes - several bombs went off on New Years Eve but all is calm now. From all reports this is likely to be politically motivated and NOT something to do with southern extremists nor the worldwide threat generally. And it does not look like it is aimed at Foreign tourists.
I do not believe tourists travelling there should be of concern. Really, this could happen ANYWHERE in the world if it is really about terrorism
