Although the Bible condemns homosexuality (Lev. 18:22), the Bible also condemns tattoos (Lev. 19:28).

Some Christians say that they do not hate homosexuals due to personal bigotry, but that homosexual's actions are condemned in the Bible and are wrong. If they are truly basing their view of what is right and what is wrong on what the Bible states, why are people with tattoo's not told that they are wrong? Since getting a tattoo is clearly a choice, why are tattooed people not condemned and all the hatred only shown towards homosexuals?

First of all, hatred toward anyone is unbiblical. Are you really talking about hatred here? Or is that just a word you're using to describe a person's feelings of another person being in error? If so then I could accuse you of hatred right now for disagreeing with me on the subject of homosexuality. Hopefully we can all see how silly that would be.
Second, a lot of Christians don't believe in tattoos either. But we still love people with tattoos, just as we love people who call themselves homosexuals. I think part of the reason homosexuality finds itself more in the religious spotlight is that homosexuals are a lot more aggressive toward Christians than people with tattoos are. Homosexuals band together in hordes to force acceptance from the world and change the way we think about this particular sin.. I've never in my life heard of a group of tattoo-wearing protesters demanding things from people. Could have missed it I suppose. ;)

If you took everyone the bible literally slavery is considered acceptable (Exodus 21: 1-32). I would assume the sexual relations outside of marriage is the reason for the greater negative position towards homosexuality, also God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah due to there moral decay which include homosexuality.
You raise an excellent point of course, that I'm sure many people haven't taken the time consider. Most of the population is told what to believe and don't take the time to read the bible or other religious texts which is spiritually dangerous.

Yes, tattoos are wrong in the biblical context. I personally don't like tattoos or people with tattoos. Does that make me bigoted? I don't think so. God loves everyone even homosexuals or people with tattoos but provided they accept God's grace & repent of their sins. But God still loves them & wants all to repent before too late. Why homosexuality is such a big sin is bcos in the days of Noah & Lot this kind of sexual immorality happened which caused the destruction of the world & Sodom & Gomorrah respectively. A resurgence of homosexuality is the end time plan of satan & he has been doing it ever since history.

If people hate homosexuals, it doesn't say that about God & His great love for homosexuals. In fact for all sinners. We shouldnt start being pharasaical about it. We are all imperfect so we should show some care & understanding to others. But there is a limit. We cannot condone sin but speak against it.

They pick and choose what they want to be the greater sin. The bible condemns gluttony just as well as homesuality. Yes according to the bible the practising homosexual is bound for hell, but so is the adultorer, fronicator, and the lier, and the glutton. They cannot escape what the bible teaches. I see more practicing gluttons in church than I do practicing homesexuals.

Regardless of what some seminary people will say, the bible puts all sin in the same catagory. there is no such thing as a big sin or little sin.

If you want answers from the Bible then here it is. The verse you mentioned is in the middle of a series of verses that were meant for the Jews at that time. They were a people to be set apart. They also were to be circumcised, but that is no longer mandated by God. We are set apart by him throught he seal of the Holy Spirit, not circumcision. Back then they were not to be marked in any way that may connect them with false religions, but is no longer applicable.

As for homosexuality, it always was and always will be an abomination to God. Though, God still loves homosexuals very much. He forgives their sin when they ask the same way he forgives the restof us.

But you cannot compare tattoos with homosexuality.

I don't have the right to "condemn" any other person. I'm not better than a homosexual or someone with a tattoo. You seem to be though. How very good for you.

Christians are not under the Old Testament where Leviticus is.But the New Testament also says homosexuality(Romans 1 and 2) is wrong. So we go by that.I don't hate it anymore than any other sin.Anything that falls short of God's perfection is sin.We all sin, that's why we need a Savior.Tatoos were at that time pagan religious symbols, that's why they were outlawed.

Jesus came to the world in the NT to fullfil the law not to change it. Homosexuality that is in the Bible is a sin we hate the sin not the sinner. Get the facts straight. If People went to church and Opened thier Bible's more they would understand why they have that in the Bible.

in the bible we are all supposedly children of god. we are born equalls and in the end, all our sins will be forgiven.

so firstly in answer to ur question, no1 shud be discriminated against. so much for peace and harmoney.

some belevers say that they dont accept gay marridge on the grounds that they cant procreate. but they dont mind old people who are beyound having children getting married or infertile people,

the bible also says how abortion is a bad thing. but there isnt the same coomototion as there is to homosexuality.

basicly people discriminate because they dont understand, and fear or the unknown is born. it all boils down to power. no homosexuall couple can make new ppl, so no more belivers can be born. that and other reasons, mind u i bet all these discriminating prests are all F**king the singers in the church. (i no that comments gona get me negative ratings)

if you are having trouble with a specific Christian then thats who you should be dealing with. As a group we do not dislike you but we recomend that cease practicing sodomy. You are no worse than a gossip in fact my thought is they do more harm. Just like the gossip it is not that we do not like you it is that sodomy is wrong for lotsa of reasons, so just cut it out and stop acting like it is OK behavior cuz it is not. We all have things that are wrong we would like to do, not just you. The idea is to stop doing them.
