when we look at the sun we see the earth orbiting the sun, and the moon obriting the earth. if gravity were true, shouldnt our moon be orbiting the sun??? oh better yet, how come a planet way out in the distance such as neptune will orbit the sun, yet its moons will not orbit the sun??? something is wrong here, even at thise immense distances the moons will orbit the planets and not the sun, yet the suns "gravity" is strong enough supposedly to keep the planets in orbit.

why is it, only planets have orbits?? you could put a space shuttle in outter space and a astronaut will not orbit it. you could put the smallest pebbble into outter space and it will not orbit the space shuttle. why is this???? if gravity were true then surely such small objects would orbit larger ones, especially in space.

on earth we see things that defy "gravity" on a daily basis. birds and airplanes for example. are you going to tell me that the gravity of the sun is strong enough to keep PLUTo in orbit but not an airplane or a little bird??????

scientists dont know how gravity works. or what it really is, and even then we see anaomolies in space that defy gravity.

And finally, of course this isn't serious - but somebody did originally write this seriously.

It's about as stupid/funny as the refuting of evolution, so I thought it would be appropriate today. Sorry if anybody was offended.

Could you please be a little more educated about what you speak of. The gravitational affect is stronger from the Earth because it is closer if you are familiar with the Newton's law of gravitation F=Gm1m2/r^2 Calculate it for yourself and you'll find the gravity is much stronger at 350,000 km as opposed to say 200,000,000 km. Even the most basic basic physics student would know that. Seriously.

Maybe the FSM is using His Noodly Appendages to hold us down to the earth. Check out the petition to have Intelligent Falling taught in the classrooms:

we have never even been into outer space. its all a hoax there is no truth behind any of the spacewalk stuff but gravity is real. and religion is not science so dont use that to try to disprove gravity because it will not work because no one will believe you

There's no such thing as gravity. It's just that the world sucks.

For a minute I thought you were serious, which made me very annoyed, as very stupid people and their comments are apt to do. And then I saw the Onion link.

Home "Skoolin" not working out for you, I see. Try opening an actual science book and learn about relative mass and gravitational attraction.

When you get older and your body starts to sag and your height is less than it was it is then that you will understand the gravity of your question.

Again..

I swear, getting tired of this, I'm just going to start posting like believers do to us...

You're lying, you know it's real. You are just in denial and want to believe a delusion.

How's them apples..

i dont know. personally, i think the planets and stuff are all projections in the sky. the gov't thinks we don't know, but we do! flat earth society rules! \m/
