Yes! I have a friend who used the proactive kit and her skin was beautiful after a few short months! She gave me the remainder and I tried it too for just some pimples I had at the time and it was amazing how fast they went away. You can also get a prescribed drug called "acutane" that works wicked awesome, but you have to make sure that you are on the pill if you do use it. Getting pregnant could seriously harm the baby, and cause problems for you.

Initially I thought it didn't work, but I was using it when I felt like it and not even using all three together. Then I started using it every night the way they actually said to use it and yes it WORKS!! However, that alone will not give u magically perfect skin - u have to also eat heathy, avoid too much sweets (i know ppl say this has nothing to do with pimples - but it makes a difference with my skin) and be careful with what u r putting on your face - Ex: too much make up and so on. In addition, stress has it's effects on the skin too - I've noticed that i usually break out around finals...
The best tip - always wear sunscreen, and yes even if it's not sunny outside
All the best.........this is what I do and I am so very grateful that my face isn't like a pizza anymore....so i really do hope this helps..

Yes, Proactive really works....but, you have to use it the way that the directions tell you to use it. It is really easy to get out of the routine - especially when you start to see results. There are some benefits to becoming a member/discounts online. I buy this product for my daughter at a kiosk at our mall, and she has used it w/ great success over the past year. I think that I would have spent just as much money either experimenting w/ other & different over the counter products, or if we had to go to a dermatologist. We (my daughter & I ) highly recommend Proactive :)

When you first start using Proactiv you will have more blemishes in the areas using it on since the product is working on bringing the bacteria/oils out of the infected area/areas. It generally depends on how bad your break outs are. I would say a couple weeks your skin will be in a shock state but after that it will gradually clear up.

yes and no, depends on what type of acne you have. If you have the type of acne that is more common, then proactive will work. But if you have acne due to hormones and internal conditions, then you will need to take some sort of drug to control them. Proactive is consist of creams and face washes that you apply to the skin so they cannot fix internal conditions that could be causing acne. Try going to a dermatologist to find out. Good luck!

It really depends on your skin type. It turned out to be too harsh for me and made my skin worse. If you have a ProActiv stand at your mall, buy it there...if it doesnt work you can return it there and not have to do a refund through the mail.
Good luck!

It worked great on my cousins and my friends, so I made my mom buy some. After 3 months, my face is finally almost clear, but I am not buying it anymore. It severly dried up my face so that I would peel every day (during the winter). And now I still have my acne scars.

i gavve it to my bf last yera. he had some acne he used it for 3 months aeveryday and followed the directions. and no results at all... same wiht a few of his cousins i knowof.

I ended up going wiht him to a dermatologist appointment and I asked the dermatologist if proactive works and he says for most people it doest

i hear it doesnt get rid of acne but it makes your complexion look better (thats what i heard peopel at work talkign about) but theere are cheaper products like st.ive apricot scrub that can to the same thing...

the best way to get rid of troublesome acne is to meet with a dermatologist and see what they reccomend.

good luck

p,s, remeber the clebrities are only paid to say that crap and they have digital editting to give or take away "their acne".....

It does for some people and not for others. One of my clients (I'm a former makeup artist) had HORRIBLE skin. I had to work seriously hard to cover her pimples and blemishes for her wedding day. And then she started Proactive and her skin dried out and she flaked like crazy. I thought, "this stuff is awful." But a few months later her skin looked like a baby's! She still looks amazing. So I guess it has to make you look dry and bad first, but then it works. Again, this is just one girl's experience. It may not work for you.

YES IT DOES. But save yourself some money and get the same effectiveness by purchasing the copycats at your local pharmacy in the skin care aisle. I use them myself as the birth control I use has acne for a side effect. It works GREAT!
