I had my second baby a few months ago and am having a very difficult time getting off the last 15lbs of baby weight.

I'm quite active ( I work out at least three days a week, plus I incorporate a lot of physical activity into my day-to-day life), but my son is a LOUSY sleeper, and I've been turning to quick-fix foods (caffeine and sugary foods) to keep my energy up. The trouble is, I feel rotten as soon as I come down off the high.

I'm looking for a diet that will naturally boost my energy, and will help me shed the last pounds. What foods will help? What foods will hurt?

I'm not in a rush to loose the weight, I just want to feel better and keep it off.

Eat what you want. Don't worry too much as long as your diet is well rounded or reasonably varied. If you have no health concerns such as diabetes or high blood pressure, the don't worry about what you eat. Remember to eat light meals and plenty of them. Exercise regularly. That's it. Exercise boosts energy levels. Eating a well balanced meal does also. Stay away from hurried meals. Also stay away from stuffing yourself. Keep things simple. I eat four or five times a day when my wife is here. When she's gone, I drop to once a day. I lose lots of weight and physical conditioning because my diet is not well rounded and my exercise is almost non-existent. I just get too depressed to take care of myself. Bad way to lose weight. Use the method described before.

The foods that help you lose weight also give you energy. Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.

But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note-- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.

So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.

When I've stopped eating junk, I always lose weight, and I just feel better. You don't know exactly what ingredients are going in that crap, and even though it may taste good, it's not worth the risk. We DO know how high fat, salt, sugar, cholesteral, etc, etc... junk food is. Plus, I waited tables at a WELL KNOWN restaurant when I was in college, and even there, it was disgusting, the way the cooks and servers handled the food. Did they wash their hands? Perhaps, butprobably not. Anyway, when I go on a "fast food fast" I feel lighter than air, and when I'm eating garbage, I feel SOOO weighed down. AND YES.... I was addicted to a Mexican food place here for years.... After a month or so of not going there, I don't even THINK of stopping there. I started craving juice or water, not sodas, and fruit, not fried desserts. Also, my little boy is a type 1 diabetic. Not an ounce of fat on him. Sometimes I let him have McD's or something, and his blood sugar shoots WAY up, so there's the proof that it's no good. I'm about to try to eat healthier now myself! Good luck.
