what are reasons why a guy wouldn't be interested in a girl?

okay other than looks, why would a guy be uninterested in a girl? what turns guys off?

i'm kind of asking this to figure out why this guy doesn't like me. and just to put it out there, im not slutty but im told that im "hott".. and im genuinely nice and we have good times together. he even says he wants a girlfriend.

Probably sees you as a good female friend and doesn't want to ruin it. You may not be HIS type. He may not be confident enough to ask you. He maybe scared him asking, will ruin things? He may be thinking about it but waiting until the right time. Who knows?

I have the absolutely lowest standards in the world. And yet, there are women even I am not interested in. Why?

You have to understand how your brain works. Seriously. There's only so many reactions your brain has when seeing another person.
1. You want to have sex with that person.
2. You want to protect/nurture that person.
3. You want to protect that person.
4. You want to submit to that person.
5. You want that person to submit to you.
6. You want to kill that person.
7. You want to run away from that person.

Our brains processes things at a reptile, instinctive level. Then more advanced parts of the brain figure out how to behave in a more acceptable way. You can't just kill people you hate. You can't just have sex with people on sight. Generally.

Even though a guy might like you, for whatever reason, he may react to you like his little sister instead of his girlfriend. He wants to protect you, but not much beyond that.

Some other girl, for whatever reason, is the type he wants to have a relationship with (sex and submission and protection).

People tend to be attracted to people who have some traits, positive and negative, of their parents or whoever raised them.

Maybe you're just not enough like his mom.

You can give him more time. Sometimes a guy can change his mind about a woman. You have to stop being someone he sees as his little sister and become someone he wants to wake up next to naked.

But how you can do that, I'll have to leave up to you.

Well I have this problem I call "nice guy syndrome" well I like a gal and then always become really good friends and I get the friends line. My guess is that you guys are too close and he just does not see you as, "available" and considers you to be too close. so maybe you could help point him in the other direction, flirt or something give him some hints and or signs. Or maybe there is someone he likes and it is clouding his vision and he cant see what is right in front of him(you) I hope it works out for you and I wish you the best. good luck

Some guys are uninterested because of personal hygiene, the personality, the way the person dresses, or either the way the person carries their self. Also, some guys are not interested in any girl that has problems in the education area.....meaning they want someone with a brain in their head and plan on going places and doing things.
Most times they are just not interested period.

She could have an annoying habit.
She could be self centered.


ps: You could be a hot 6 or a hot 10. Some girls think cause they are told they are hot that they are a 10 when they might be a 6. (not saying it's you).

Lots of things can turn off a guy besides looks.

Okay, either you are not his type at all or he is gay. Either way, there are other guys out there who would not mind a "hot" girl. Maybe you are brunette and he likes a blonde or something. He wants a girlfriend, but not you. Do not take this to heart. Move on.

maybe he doesnt think you are interested in him, or he thinks that you only see him as a friend. try dropping little hints that you are interested.


you said you had good times together, well try talking to him in one of those good times about his stand on realtionships and stuff, if he's liking a girl nowadays, etc. make the topic not too serious as if you're just joking about it. From there he will share his insights and i guess you will see why he's not making a move on you or anyone yet. =)

maybe he thinks your too hot, and that u might just break his heart. depends on the guy what turns him off, clingy women, complaining , negative, unhappy girls, pushy, maybe he has no self respect, and thinks he doesn't deserve a girl like u. ask him if u are they type of girl he might be interested in in the future, if u just ask u may get an answer, it may be that he is interested, but than again he may not be, u have to ask him, and not fear the rejection u might get.
