I think it's just the regular mail. In my experience, it doesn't take that long either.

Once picked up by UPS it generally takes between 3-7 days depending on where you are and where it is coming from. However, a lot of these companies that do cheap "ground" shipping will only ship on certain days. Sometimes this is several days after it is ordered. So it could turn that 7 Day's into 14 days very easily.

Ground shipping in this case probably means UPS or Fedex Ground. It is a 2-5 business day service depending on how far you are from the shipping location.

They grind your package up and shovel it onto a truck.
No, it means they use trucks to deliver it. Takes longer that way. Sometimes it's more convenient for them to put your package on a plane and they will do that, thereby getting it there faster, but they won't charge you extra.
Always select ground unless you really can't wait, like for a birthday present.

ground shipping means its never going to enter an air plane,,it will travel by ground ,by what ever means they can get it to you ,usually if its says over night ground shipping, it will travel by jet to the closest point to you then get the rest of the way by ground,,good luck happy new years.

Stuff gets shipped "ground" (also called "freight") or "air" by airplane. If it's not going by airplane, it's being shipped by truck, van, car, train, bus...etc.Anything that travels on the "ground"

In most cases it means shipping by land(trucks).

it means they use a delivery service like UPS that has trucks "travelling on ground." Other methods could be by airplane, and that's faster and more expensive.

Ground. By truck, as opposed to overnight which would be by plane. They throw it on truck, it takes longer to get to you, but it's cheaper.
