I've been told I'm a good looking guy, but have trouble initiating conversations with girls checking me out when I'm out. One of my NY's resolutions is to start going up and talking to more girls when I'm out and stop waiting for girls to come up to me. Any advice orexamples of what works, without coming off as some greaseball?? Thanks!

Hi there, I recommend that you go places where the girls will have similar interests as you so it'll be easy to strike up a conversation. For example, if you are at a bookstore you can always talk about books... if you're at the gym you can discuss exercise, you get the idea. Or even non-threatening places like a coffee shop are good places to meet girls because they have relaxed atmospheres. Places like bars I don't recommend because usually it's just guys trying to get one-night stands so you're more likely to be shot down.
Remember, a smile goes a long way and if you're a gentleman usually girls won't reject you rudely. Don't try any lines (obviously), just be yourself. Sounds cheesy, but what else is there to do? Get friends to introduce you. If you're in high school or university, it's very easy to just talk to a person you're sitting by. You'll be nervous at first but introducing yourself (or just saying hello) is the hardest part. Just be friendly and you'll be fine.
If you work I'm sure you could talk to many girls you work with so you get used to talking to females in general, and if you work/get a job at a place where you can talk to lots of customers then maybe you could meet girls that way, or at least get practice. I used to be really shy but once I started working and forcing myself to talk to people I became a lot less shy. It's a gradual process but you can definitely make progress if you try.

I say give her a call. She gave you her number so she has some feelings there. It can't hurt to talk on the telephone and get to know her better. Ask her,her likes and dislikes. Like Music. Movies.does she like to read (what kind of books interest her the most). You say you both are friends so what can it hurt to call her. If you are school aged I'd say the best time to call would be before 8 pm. That way if her parents have a telephone curfew you are safe. Good Luck.

Just be yourself, that way when the girls fall for you, they're attracted to the REAL you.
It should come with time. Patience is a *****, but you'll meet a nice girl.
...or...when opportunity shows up, in the form of a girl you fancy(hey, this word works), you can muster up your courage and go and talk to her. If you're funny, that always helps.

You know how everyone says, "Just be yourself"....?
Well, don't.
Pretend you are someone else. Conversations are easier when it isn't really you talking.
Don't pretend to be a jerk. Pretend you are decisive. Pretend you are outgoing. Pretend you are in control.
Just start talking about something. You hit, you miss.
Or be like everyone else and meet women through your friends.

buddy, girls will totally flock to you if you're sweet. Find a more outgoing girl, and she can bring the shyness right out of ya. at first, just be sweet and the girl will be totally interested.

Join a singles group in your area. You'll be with others in your same boat and you won't feel so strange about approaching women.
