A hillbilly is from the backwoods of a mountain area. Very littlte if any education, and very few accepted social skills. A redneck can be from anywhere, though usually from the south. Rednecks often are educated, though choose which aspects of their education is important or needed for their life or survival. A redneck just likes to have fun, whether socially accepted or not. He, or she, likes to do his own thing, and say what on his mind, without neccessarily confoming to socila graces.

The term "redneck" actually came from people working in farms and other labor jobs outside where they get sunburned necks.
Hillbillies are people who live in the hill regions.

Rednecks are into monster trucks & stuff (along with lots of other stupid things), while, hillbillies work on farms & stuff
