Looks like a bit of a scam, some people set up two fate accounts on ebay and sell nothing but made up thing to them self's, (or someone else happing them) then get a lot of feedback at once, then sell items they they don't have or will ever supply, take the money and run.....
Being privet as well that's a bit of an open sign, but you never know, they might just be that good.....
Best advice email ebay (if you can) and look in the help section as well, did you pay with paypal? they can help as well.

I think i know what your getting at.
There are numerous reasons why this will have happened. The main ones are:-
1) You dont have to leave feedback as soon as you recieve the item, and visa versa for the seller recieving payment. Ebay gives you about 2 weks to leave feedback before it starts to send you reminders.
2) Ebay some times takes time to catch up on things and send left feedback to the right person...especially at this busy time of year. They prob caught up and sent them all at once.

Just because feedback was left today doesn't mean it was a scam. People don't have to leave feedback immediately after receiving an item. Some people wait days or even longer before leaving feedback.
However, I hate when sellers make their feedback private and it makes me suspect they're trying to hide something. They can't leave feedback for themselves though.

Not necessarily a scam - people could have left feeback today for items they received earlier, but it does sound dubious from what you've told us. If you've already won the item though, I believe you're contracted to buy it. If you've not sent payment yet I'd contact the seller and raise your concerns before sending payment. If you're happy with their response go for it, otherwise think again. Hope this helps and good luck. I've only ever found good service on ebay, but I understand I could just be lucky.

you do hear many horror stories relating to ebay. but in truth many people use it every day and are very happy.just ask yourself if it was in fact so bad would it still be going the dates for feedback is the actual date a buyer/seller leaves the feedback not the actual delivery/sale date. happy new year to you too.

Abuse of Ebay's feedback system is rife. People set up several accounts and stage transactions between them, ie. they buy stuff off themselves and leave positive feedback.
Also, there is a culture with regular ebay users of leaving negative feedback for people as revenge for giving them negative feedback.
The feedback system only works really with sellers who only use it occasionally, as they do can't really justify the time and expense it takes to do all this fabricating.
But with regular sellers or career ebayers, it is par for the course.

Personally, I don't trust anyone that keeps their feedbacks private. What are they hiding. There are plenty of other sellers in Ebay, go for one of them next time

Unfortunately you have to be a little "sucky sucky" on feedback, palpay transfers automatically and people are keen to get feedback themselves! Buyer beware!
