If Jesus were truly man, what about his sexuality? The Bible is silent about this. Surely as a man he would be subject to sexual desire as is everyone on the planet. I ask is it irreligious to believe he was tempted in this area? I mean no disrespect or irreverence as I love and follow Jesus to the best of my ability. I'm curious why such a topic is not addressed in Scripture.

Having sexual desires is not sinful. God made men and women to be attracted to each other. Again I say I mean no disrespect toward Jesus. I'm not trying to be funny or anti-Jesus. Couldn't people relate to him better as God and man if we knew more about how he handled a very human attribute?

Surely Christ was tempted in this area due to the amount of women around Him all the time but you have to understand the heart of God to see why this wasn't a problem for him.
Basically Jesus had the same heart about those around him as His father did, which was exactly that, a fathers heart. A father in my mind at least does not want or even desire to have sex with His children. A father does not desire his children because there is something greater for him namely his wife. It is the same, so to speak with God, the greater thing being his purpose.

Jesus was a man on the Earth. Read the Gospels. He didn't have sexual desires because even though he was mortal, he was still God's son. It's like, half mortal, halp immortal. It's not addressed in the Scripture because the Bible gives rules and advice for you. It does not dwell on the past of Jesus all that much.

After Jesus was baptized, He retreated by Himself into the desert and was confronted by Satan, who tempted Him in every way.

People these days put way too much emphasis on our sexuality. Jesus was born without sin, unlike the rest of us, so it would follow that His thoughts and feelings were of a much different realm than that of ours. Reading the gospels, you will note that more often than not, the people (and Apostles themselves) "didn't get" what Jesus was saying. His thought patterns were much more attuned to the Father and therefore sex for Himself becomes a very minuscule -even non-existant thought. In other words, - with what He came to earth to accomplish on His mind.... Sex was less than the LAST thing on His mind.

Ya, there are some serious hang-ups about sex in Christianity. Just saying Jesus was a man, and thus had desires will get you some serious thumbs down.
They think those desires are wrong. How can this be? Without them the human race would have perished long ago.

sure everyone has lustful desire but when you fully understand the mind of Christ it is not just easy but logically understandable His desire was to do he fathers will which He himself said.In the Gospel of John 1:1 in the begin was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God ,this referred to Jesus Christ being in the beginning. Jesus had fleshly weakness but not give in or being take by the desires of the flesh for it is also written ''let this MIND be in you which is also in Christ Jesus.

Jesus was a man, and he was tempted by Satan and never gave in. The Bible says we will never be tempted more than we can handle, and Jesus proved this was true.

Jesus was made out to be a divine entity when in actuality he was as human as we are. That's why his actual "private" life was cut out. The Bible was written by men to control and hold power. And so the story has been molested in order to do this.

Paul addresses it a few times. Jesus clearly laid out the law concerning divorce and adultery. Jesus said to look upon a woman with lust in your heart is adultery. I would think that should clear things up a bit.

If he lacked the desire to be sexual, since sexual pleasure is a gift from God, then he was imperfect.

If he had sexual desires, the Bible is flawed and/or he sinned at some level or other. Or he was married, and the Bible continues to be flawed.

Can't have it any other way, can you?

You are right, mostly it is pretty quiet.
From what I see in the Bible, nearly always wives were not mentioned even though it appears they did accompany the Apostles on their journeys (1 Corinthians 9:5).
