i was thinking this is how stin guns work which is how they produce their lightning

my hypothesis is that, sense - is the terminal for when electrons are moving out of a battery for an example and if you send - and another - toward each other the electrons will collide making a spark is this correct

or my real question is how do stun guns creat sparks

according to this article there are 2 - charges together and you can usually see some lightning in those probes (traveling from the first - probe to the other)

a spark or lightining is current flow through air. generally, this is caused by electrons flowing from an area of high electron concentration to an area of low electron concentration. voltage is a measure of the difference in concentrations, the potential for current flow. electrons will never normally collide with each other because they have a like charge and will repel each other. what you see as a spark is the electrons ionizing the air as they travel from one point to another. unless your negative voltages are different, no current will flow because there is no potential. you would be better off using an electrode of high negative voltage and another of high positive voltage. then you'll get some sparks, if you don't pop a fuse or melt something or kill yourself.

The potential of the electricity is simply the difference in the voltage. Generally, ground is at zero potential, so all you need to know is how much positive voltage is present to know the potential.

In the case of your question, the only potential would be the difference in the two high negative voltages (if one of them were less negative, the difference would actually be at a "positive" potential to the higher negative voltage.) If the two high, negative voltages were exactly the same - no potential would exist and no current would flow.

one will over power the other or if both are the same, they would cancell each other out, or in the worst case sinario one or both will shortcurcit

opps- well in your case were they dont actrually meet but travel into another substance it ionies the substance around it

you be attentive to how they say something like "We fell into one yet another's palms?" that purely approximately actually occurred with my mom and dad. My aunt replaced into shifting out of my grandparents' abode, and her chum helped her flow, and he knew my father, and so my father went alongside for the holiday whilst my aunt's chum helped her flow, and my mom replaced into tagging alongside for the holiday, to boot, and whilst my mom have been given interior the back seat of the vehicle, my father replaced into already sitting there along with his arm out and resting in the back of the seat, as though it replaced into an arm relax, and my mom ended up sitting the place my father's arm replaced into prolonged out. So, my mom and dad met interior the back seat of a vehicle, with my father's arm around the place my mom sat down.
