As a result of taking Allegra-D for a sinus infection, I got anxiety, nervousness, insomnia, etc. I stopped taking it almost 2 weeks ago, but I'm still feeling anxious and nervous, about nothing in particular. Is this still the side effects? Can side effects last even after you've stopped taking medicine?

You are blaming a drug that is out of your system.

You need to get to your doctor immediately.

Check your cola and caffeine consumption. Try herbal tea and see if you calm down. If you drink Pepsi or Coca-Cola alot, then that's the reason for your nervous habit, plus coffee.

GOD bless.

I would say that two months is long enough to wait for any side effects to go away. You may have to switch medications. Of course, you need to do this through your doctor. It may take a while, but there should be something out there that the side effects are either mild or go away very quickly. I had day time sleepiness from my anti-depressant but it got better after a few weeks and is completely gone now.

I would be calling a Dr about now. 2 weeks seems a long time for it to get out of your system

Side effects can be permanent. But, Claritin has two components: and antihistamine and decongestant. Both of these should have been out of system long, long ago. I would give your MD a call.
