If it's infected, it needs to come out. Period. It will only get worse. Your ear is probably rejecting it. Just let it close, it's not worth it.

The best thing to do is to remove the piercing STRAIGHT AWAY. The area will heal, if the hole closes then it closes, if it does not then so much the better. When it has healed if need be get it pierced again. Believe me I have some very "interesting" parts of me pierced and infection can be awful.
If you really won't take it out then spend as much time as possible with the ear in salt water (boil the water first, add salt and let it cool) as this is a disinfectant. This may reduce the infection.

First thing id do is try and loosen the back, it might be too tight and going into the ear lobe, secondly bathe ear in salt water with cotton woll or tissue. Do not use tcp or dettol as it will hurt/burn a lot if ear is raw. If no better after a day or two get some antiseptic spray that piercers offer. Savlon spay for piercings is very good. Hope it clears up soon

Do not keep using hydrogen peroxide as this is to harsh. If you have an infected ear piercing go see the doc for some antibiotics to clear it up. Wash your ears with a mild ear cleanser that you should have gotten when you got your ears pierced or use plain soap and water but do see the doc and get this treated.

Use the solution that they sell in the store that pierced your ears in the first place, put in the plastic studs and don't touch your ears with your hands only to put the solution on with a cotton ball and turn them once a day. They should clear up. Don't touch your ears any other time. It's the dirt and perhaps the metal from the earring that is keeping them infected.

Get a bottle of Campho-Phenique!! It is used for cold sores, bug bites and irritated skin. Take a q-tip and wipe the medicine all over your ear lobe(front and back) and the earring post itself. Do this in the morning and before bed. Your ears will heal in no time. I swear by this method! Everyone I have suggested this to for infected ears has had great success!!

Just because the peroxide is bubbling does not necessarily mean you have an infection. If your ears are red and swollen, feel hot and feverish, and there is pus coming out of the ear holes, then you have an infection.

Did you change your earings before your ears healed? They should be healed already. Are you using hair spray? When you take a shower, are you making sure to rinse the shampoo off, and dry them.
These could be the reason you are having trouble. Stick to the earings they pierced them with, and keep your hands clean, as well as the ears.
Good luck to you.

You need to use gold earings...not gold plated or silver or those cheap things they use at the claire's etc... GOLD. Keep doing the peroxide and use some antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin on them at least 2 to 3 times a day. I tell you because I've had my ears pieced 5 times per ear.... all in one day....

Go to a doctor and get some antibiotic cream and perhaps some pills. Maybe you are reacting to the earrings. (nickel)
