I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter and all of you are going through such a terrible time. She really needs help right away; it could be major depression or maybe something else, but whatever is wrong with her the pain killers will only contribute to her emotional suffering.

She's crying out for help by taking the pain killers, threatening to kill herself and by cutting herself. You should take her to the emergency room and have a doctor evaluate her so that you can find out what's wrong and she can get treatment. What concerns me very much is that she said she wanted to kill her children too. Now she may not have meant it but this really needs to be taken seriously and it may be a good idea for you or another family member to watch the kids for a time. Your daughter sounds very overwhelmed and taking care of her kids right now (even if she's a wonderful mother under normal circumstances) may only increase her stress.

She needs help and she needs support. I know it must be terrible for you to see her like this so please try to get her to a hospital and have her evaluated.
I wish you all the best, take care.

Since her children are involved contact your social services department aka department of health and family welfare and make an annonymous report that you think the children might be in danger. You cannot force your daughter to get help but you do need to protect the innocent children. Sounds like she is addicted to the pain meds and needs help. Encourage her to get help for her problem and remind her that you love her no matter what. Do make that social services call though as the children need to be protected.

Wow. It sounds like your daughter is going through a really difficult time in her life. You need to get her to talk to someone because self-mutilaton is a very dangerous thing. I know, i've been there, done that. It could all be for attention but either way she needs to at the very least get some counseling. And just let her know that you are there for her no matter what.

Your daughter is in a crisis and needs to be hospitalized. If only some of these other victims of suicide had told someone who cared enough to listen and take a stand and do something about it we would all have a lot less suicide success in this country DONT WAIT TILL ITS TOO LATE

I would first recommend that your daughter get immediate psychiatric help. One way of doing it is taking her to a local ER and telling them that she needs a psychiatric evaluation. Depending on your state, you may be able to petition the state and get her an involuntary psychiatric evaluation if she's unwilling to go. She sounds like she has a problem with opioids and probably is depressed too. Unfortunately, people with either of these problems commit suicide.

Either convince her to see a shrink or take her to the psych ER. If she won't do either and things are really bad then call your local "Mobil Crisis Team" and get her evaluated. DO THIS NOW!

Take her to your local emergency room and get her admitted. Do NOT take what she is saying and doing lightly. She is screaming out for help, give her the help. Take her, no matter what.

Get her help now! She could hurt herself or the children and maybe you are the only one who can help her.
