I would forgive the mistake for the simple fact that he told you before he was caught. That being said.... the relationship would still be over. Once the trust is gone there is nothing left.

I've heard alot of stories where cheating saved a relationship becuase the person that cheated realized that the other person is what they really wanted.
One of my friends cheated on his girlfriend and confessed to her and it kept them together becuase the girl was going to break up with him becuase she thought he didn't care. But becuase he confessed it made her think he cared about her.
Now, my personal opinion... absolutely NOT!! I am a jealous person as it is so if my boyfriend ever cheated on me I'd be a basketcase everytime he wasn't around me thinking "Is he out with another girl?" "Is he out cheating on me?".
Also if you caught him cheating that different then him coming out and admitting it to you. I'd say if he confessed to you he's telling you he did wrong and is asking for forgiveness.
Keep in mind that if you do forgive him he may think he can take advantage of you...ex: He may think "I cheated on her once and she forgave me I could probably do it again and I'll just say I'm sorry and she'll forgive me".
Think long & hard about this. If you do end up forgiving him though, and it does it again... get rid of him!! You don't need that ****!

Well, it sounds like ur sorry, but honestly, you'll be in trouble for a long time. If you know you cant be trusted, dont hurt her anymore. Dont kid yourself. Dont waste her time if you know ur gonna just mess around again. She may or may not forgive you, and that's her choice, cuz what you did was not good. Accept whatever her answer is, and if she says she needs more time to think about it, give her time.
