Yes, it hurts but not for long, just make sure you keep it clean with peroxide and neosporin and turn it when you clean it to keep it from getting infected.

I got my tongue and my belly button pierced and they didn't hurt to me. Every ones pain tolerance is different so you can not go off of others. The only thing I can tell you is if you get it done make sure that you clean it 3 times a day and do everything they tell you and you will not have any problems. Good luck, hope that helps.

It is a 14 gauge needle going thru your flesh, the same size as when you donate blood. Some say yes it hurts, some say no. Are you ticklish? I was told thatt if you are real ticklish it will hurt more because more nerves are there. I have my belly button, tongue, ears twice, and 3 tattoo's. Yep, it hurt! Keep it clean, follow the instructions, and plan on it taking a couple months to heal good. (Be careful with the waist line of some pants and jeans, they can snag on it causing you to talk to God for a minute or two :-)

sometimes... like if it get infected it could hurt a lot, and if it gets snagged on anything it REALLY HURTS. For instance my mother as many times got her belt, her shirt, her hair and many other things snagged on her piercing (don't ask how) it cause a lot of pain.
A big problem with snags is that you don't even know your snagged on something until you feel the pain.
To keep your piercing from getting infected you have to clean it regularly( for some once or twice a month, for others multiple times a week).
Also, you might not want to tell the people you work with unless you trust them a lot. Bosses of many (respectable) businesses look for "clean-cut" people to hire. Bosses find it improper and sloppy to have any piercings(excluding the ears) or tattoos.

NO, it doesn't hurt really when you get it pierced. It hurts after, when you have to clean it three times a day and move the ball up and down to clean it. If you don't clean it, then it will get infected and hurt a hell of a lot more. It takes a while after you get it pierced for it to heal. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE - if you get it done, only use softsoap to clean it and ONLY USE Bactine to numb the pain and clean it. You can get it at any drugstore or wamart. Dont' use peroxide or anything else.

Having a sharped object pierced through your flesh is obviously going to "hurt" to some degree. It will effect some people more than others. If you have a low tolerance to pain, I would re-consider it.

It hurts just long enough to yell ouch. Don't worry about it just have it done. Sure it will hurt some but once the ring is in it's all over and your tummy looks great.

I gotta agree with dorman143. First it looks like you're trying to bring attention to yourself. Second belly buttons are alot more attractive and sexier left alone.

Yes it does. I wasn't able to button my pants for about a month. I'm a nurse, make sure you take good care of it. It is so worth getting, you'll love it.
