Call the courthouse or probation department in the county where you committed the offense. In CA there is no "expiration" date on being able to expunge an offense. The dates/qualification/process will be unique to your State and County, though.

I am not sure if it is the same in every state.
The first thing I would do is call the court house or go on-line to the county clerk link you should find info there, I have personally had my son's juvinile record expunged. It took altogether with his community services and various other requirements. approximately one year. you have to meet the requirements. provide proof to the state or governing agency. and then pay to have it expunged. You may have to draw up the papers your self and have a final disposition heared at the court house.
If you have meet all requirements and are not a habitual offender I would safely say that the Judge will grant the record expunged.

If this is not helpful. I would again suggest you go to your local county clerk / court website and go from there. Good Luck.

If it was dismissed for lack of evidence or other reasons, there is nothing to expunge. If you plead guilty in exchange for a dismissal (often the case in 1st time misdemeanors) you will have to have it expunged. You have met the requirement which is 1 yr in my state & there is no limit to when you can have it expunged. Good luck!

You can do it immediately...the sooner the better, but you can also wait as long as need be. It will cost you some money though. You can have a PI do a intensive background check that would look into your criminal history
