What you gather here in this life is within your soul. What you believe and what you learn. Never stop learning. The material things you gather here are yours until you die. That certainly doesn't mean you life is for rent. There are things here that make life easier and are here for you to help others when possible. As long as you live in this physical side of life there are many things to do that are worthwhile. Growing in the knowledge that God is real and doing His bidding will make sense of this life. Try it, you just might like it.

How old are you? you cant be very old not to know the answer to that question. We come into this world with nothing and go out with only 2 things. Love, and knowledge, both being immaterial things, and i will die happy knowing i have people who love me, and the knowledge that it doesn't stop here.

No, I have something to hand down to my children. I have worked hard to get what I have. I realize my children will get everything once my wife and I are gone. I received a dining room set from my grandmother who inherited it from her grandmother. It is nice to have a base of history in one's life.
If you don't have anything, find something you like and get it. Take care of it and hand it down to your offspring.
It sounds as if you do not think of the future.

I can't really say that you life is for rent or not. But God put you on this earth to do his will. If your not sure what his will is for you, the best thing you should do is pray.

It's true that we really don't own anything in this world. We have simply been entrusted by God as stewards of everything He gives us. How well we take care of these things is up to us!
