feel like I haven't studied enough, or I am being lazy when I stop to relax for a minute. For example, I just had a week off from school for winter vacation and I go back to school tomorrow, and I am sitting here thinking "I could have practiced my clarinet more for my audition, now I am not going to get into concert band, oh no, mid-terms are in 2 1/2 weeks, I didn't study that much, now I am going to fail them all" What do I do, I always feel like whatever I do isn't enough or isn't good enough, I hate this, I occationally feel suicidal, although I never think I will commit, I can't put my family through that kind of pain, but my great grandpa did commit so it does run in the family, HELP!!!!!!

everyone always tells me how perfect I am, I got teased by one kid through ELEMENTRY school by one kid always calling me Little Miss Perfect, and I am always being told how smart I am, but I never feel that I am smart or am perfect, because I am not, nobody is, but I am kind of afraid to fail I think, I want to achieve so much, be really successful, that I am afraid that failing will stop me from doing what I want to do in life, I am only 14 1/2, I should be worrying like this, should I?

The only therapy you need, seriously is to look around you and see how many people didn't stick with there books and there practice and are now bums, or working for a job that had to take and definitely did not want.

Aw hon, you are a perfectionist who hasn't gotten over grampa's death truly yet...and you probably never will get 'over ' it...but the pain will fade away and good memories would be left...what would grammpa say if he heard you talking about suicide? It doesn't really run in a family sweety, you are just someone who has the capacity to be a real winner, because that is how winners live their lives, pushed to the limit to strive for the best...what you COULD do, is before you start a project, make a certain goal that is reasonable for you to achieve, and then go for it...then when you reach it, you can feel like you did what you set out to do...in the meantime, don't think of killing yourself any more...you are going to grow up and be someone very important and special...but even winners and achievers, need to learn how to make time for fun...all work and no play makes jack a dull boy,...ever hear that one? Anyway,....God luvs you, and so does Jesus,...just pray for strength, and don't ever, ever let grammpa down or God, or Jesus or the others that love you...things will get better, I promise..

You are doing a great job but yeah you have anxiety disorder. When people harass you because you have alot more going for you then people get jealous. Jealous people like that are called "haters" and everyone dislikes them.
Look at all that you have and all that you have done. It doesn't hurt any1 to acknowledge your accomplishments to you or to others and say it was good. It isn't bragging or anything like that.
To cure some of that anxiety all I can say is that im close to my thirties. Sometimes when I feel like I am not doing enough for whatever reason I will try to think about a place I am at peace with. My place of peace can be humming a song or remembering something I saw or my family when we are together and everyone is totally happy. It takes my mind off of the weight on my shoulders completely for that time I'm thinking about it.
Hope this helps :)

Firstly, I want to be sure to say that I am not any kind of mental health professional. I can definitely identify with the feelings that you describe, though. We are over-achievers. (this is not a totally bad thing, in my opinion!) I am 31 now, but had the same kinds of feelings that you describe through high school and college. I still have them now, I just have had more years to learn to cope with them and I feel differently now about the "self-chastising" and "self-doubting" thoughts when they try to take over.
There are always going to be 24 hours in a day, and most people cannot happily spend all of their waking hours with their nose to the grindstone. From the sounds of your post/question, I'm willing to bet you spent your break productively. That may mean hanging out with friends and family or playing video games in order to relax - that's ok and necessary sometimes!
The biggest change in my thinking that helped and helps me get through is: I cannot change what I did yesterday- it is done, for better or for worse. Regret in that case is useless. I can only control what I am about to do today - right now.
This doesn't mean I don't sometimes wish I had done things differently. I just try to learn from that and move forward with this new, self-inflicted knowledge.
Should you get therapy? ( I thought this was part of your question, but now I don't see it on the page - please excuse me if it was not part of your question) That is something only YOU can decide. Personally, I am all for therapy - if you find a therapist who you feel comfortable with and who is willing to help you find your way - not try to tell you what is the right way.
Again - all of this is only my opinion, but I felt I had to post and answer, since I totally hurt for you when I read your post/question. I am going to change my preferences so you can e-mail me if you feel like chatting. Sometimes just being able to talk to someone helps. You can do it.

Don't worry. Do your best and be prepared and then relax. Remember Lincoln failed many times. At 14 everything seems like the end of the world, but you will fail and start over many times in life. The best lesson to learn is how to bounce back.

it sounds like your in high school and i did the same thing when i was in high school i worried about everything then i relized i was stressing to much about stuff that didnt really matter. all you can do is your best eventually you will see that and as long as you give it your best thats all you can control so just take a step back and relax and you will be fine you dont have to do anything crazy like suicide that doesnt fix anything. high school is to much fun to worry like that so enjoy it and keep working hard and you will go far no matter what happens now.

ending an examination first is oftentimes an indication of carelessness, no longer intelligence. people who end first are in many circumstances people who do no longer examine their artwork or do no longer take sufficient time to relatively evaluate the questions being asked. extra importantly, do no longer difficulty approximately ending final or first or the different place. merely concentration on your artwork and ignore approximately what different scholars are doing for the time of tests.

it was the festive period...noone can blame you for relaxing a little and enjoying yourself!
dont worry, it is a stressfull time in your life. we all need lots of little breaks or our minds get tired. we learn more if we take lots of little breaks.....a 10 minute break for every 45 mins of study should help you learn more.

you sure are picking on your self.
Yea !!! Get help, see your mom first. but make sure you have your arms around her neck and whisper.
She loves you > > NO way she can turn you away if you got her in a headlock.
Demand motherly instructions.
