Okay well I am truthful to everyone and I don't have any limits towards what people I shouldn't be truthful to. My friend, Jessica, is really upset with me because I told my friend Joe she said, "I just need my space and I get tired of him sometimes". I know I shouldn't have said anything, but then I don't think she should be ignoring him and missing like 10 calls from him and not even say anything. but she still hangs out with these hot guys and doesn't ignore them. so that's why I told him what she said, because I don;t think its right what she is doing. now she is all stupid and like "omg I can't believe you did that" I dont think it's all that big of a deal. She shouldn't be treating people like **** anyway.

Who is your friend? Jessica or Joe? If you want to just be a good person, then on one hand you may have helped Joe and saved him from some heart ache, but then by hanging out with "hot" guys, was Jessica doing anything wrong??!! Was she doing anything else other than hanging out? If not, it seems like petty jealousy on your part. The reason that you were privy to Jessica's actions is because you were her friend. You violated a rule of friendship by going behind her back to tell Joe Jessica's secrets. Joe and Jessica aren't married, so she really wasn't doing anything wrong by your account. Her ignoring his phone calls wasn't the honest thing to do, but by the same token, just because someone calls doesn't mean that you have to speak to them right then. It has voice mail so that the receiver can decide not to take the call. If Joe continues to hang around with Jessica, then obviously her behavior is worth what ever trials he puts her through. Short of her taking his money or beating him, he can figure out for himself if he didn't want to put up with her antic. You judged her and sentenced her for actions of which you didn't approve. You should have let her know that you didn't approve and that you'd wish that she didn't do such things around you. That way you'd keep the friendship and not betray it. Unless you have decided to end the friendship in which case, you've bared your soul. IF you are satisfied with what has transpired and you know the consequences then I suppose that's all that matters. But you ask if you did anything wrong. In Jessica's eyes, yes you did...you betrayed her trust. If you want to be a friend to someone in the future, you may want to alert them to any offending actions or theirs before you take a course in response.

Girls are very sensitive about secrets. If a guy is doin something wrong from their view, they want to deall with it how they like to. Obviously, she feels that not talking t him and him being in the dark is the best thing. Even tho you dont agree and it may not be morally right, it's the way she is dealing with it and by blamin you, it makes her look like the better person than you who 'went behind her back'. Technically, u did the right thing, but from her view, u betrayed her.

it wasn't your place to repeat what she said...all you've done is damage her trust in you as a friend so she'll likely be more cautious what she says in your presence...

...there's a difference in being honest/truthful and being the equivalent of a tattle-tale child...you crossed the line. If Joe wanted to know why her behavior had changed, he should have taken it up with her.

You're right. BUT you should have kept your mouth shut. Know one thing for sure. Keep this up and NO ONE will EVER trust you with anything as they can expect you to tell EVERYONE what you should have told no one.
