hi, there are several hundred viruses in the world, potentially causing the cold. There are also several influenza viruses among those. These influenza viruses may cause the flu, and out of these are around 2-4 the WHO predicts every year to be most virulent, and for those we have the annually changing influenza vaccine. With this vaccination you'd be protected against some of the viruses.
So if you had the flu some weeks ago, you are only immune against exactly that influenza strain you contracted then. You may get infected with another strain and could get sick again. However, experience shows, that even though you get infected with another virus strain, your symptoms will most likey be less severe than the first time. This may be because although there are different virus strains, the influenza viruses are generally quite similar. So once your immue system had one kind, it probably recognizes and reacts faster to other similar viruses. The best way to prevent getting an infection is to keep good hygiene, handwashing after coming home, before meals etc. And good indoor ventilation (open the window once in a while) as well as regular exercise and healthy nutrition. It may help to add some Vitamin C either as supplement or in form of lots of mandarins, red berries, oranges etc, fruits that contain lots of it. I also believe that breathing exercises like those in Yoga help a lot. Hope this helps. Cheers

Technically yes. Especially if it is a different strain of the flu. My suggestion would be to take your vitamins, extra vitamin c and get plenty of rest. Wash your hands after you sneeze, cough or go to the bathroom. And most of all, stay the hell away from the morons who insist on being out in the world when they have the flu! Stay well and good luck!

It all depends on how well you are protecting yourself from it. If you just had the flu and you are outside with no coat and are around others who had it then yes the possibility is higher for it to come back. But if you are taking medicene when you feel a cold coming on and you dress for the weather then you should be fine.

Yes of course. thats why the flu hasnt been 'cured' yet. You could have it all year round in theory. You just need to keep aquiring new strains.
