Immersion. It's the tried and true method. Put yourself in a setting where everything (and I mean everything) is in Spanish. Radio, TV, Yahoo, the OS on your computer, co-workers, friends, school... you get the idea. You'll learn Spanish faster that way than any other.
I did a lot of that myself when I worked with about 30 employees who spoke no English, so I immersed myself in Spanish, and achieved a good measure of success in a fairly short time.

If you want to lean a languages and learn it well.. there is no FAST way. The best way(takes time) is to either buy books at Barnes and Noble in basic Spanish grammar.. OR if you look enough, there are plenty of Spanish lessons, etc on goggle.com. The other way (but costly) is to buy disks on the language. OR... the very best way is to do what I did.. Go to Honduras(for example) and enroll in an intensive Spanish course.. I like Honduras because it is about $190/week in comparison with other places i.e. Mexico which is about $500 or $600 a week and is not as pleasant.
You woulds be surprised at HOW much is available on goggle.com.. Unfortunately.. you can only learn verbs and their use but not the SOUND which is essential to proper learning

I am of Hispanic heritage and I would say the fastest way is to find someone who is willing to teach you, and whom you can spend time with so that you learn all the nuances of the language, such as rhythm, speed, vocal accents. It sounds daunting, but if you enjoy learning languages it really won't be.

Try visiting a Spanish-speaking country for awhile. Guatemala is a good recommendation, because they tend to speak slower and it's good for a beginner!
This site provides flash cards and test you: http://www.spanishspanish.com
and you can take Spanish courses online: http://www.warrenhardy.com
