If this is something that really bothers you, then by all means, ask the question. But I warn you, you may not like the answer. If in fact you were adopted, then does this really matter, if there was the love and support you must have gotten as a child. If the love and support is still there, you could really hurt their feelings, and add a lot of strain on your parents. the other way is to leave well enough alone, and if it is something that comes up in conversation, just remember to be open minded and considerate of thier feelings.Hope all works out for you...Take care...Jim

Biologically maybe not your Dad. But, did he raise you? Did he get you to school, sports, take on you as his son and basically raise you? If so, then he is your Dad. Your DNA profile can be evaluated and your resolution solved about your DNA Dad... But, be aware that you could easily upset your parents with this doubt. I think your finding confusion to be too much of an issue. Your Dad is home and most likely cares deeply for you as his son, no matter what. You may choose to ask them, but, don't be suprised by the answer that you are his son.

It could be that your mom or dad have a submissive strain of dark skin in their families, which happened to come out when you were born. It happens all of the time, only it's usually two blonde parents having a brunette headed child, or a blue eyed and green eyed pair having a kid with gray eyes.
If you're really curious, just ask your mom, "Why do I have such dark skin?". She probably wouldn't mind, and she might tell you why.

I doubt this is a real question, but if it really is, then yes. Two white parents can have a black child in three ways:
1) adoption
2) mother fooled around
3) have black ancestors

I would say that you were probably adopted and it is a shame your parents never told you. I am surprised it took you this long to notice that you are black and they are white. I think you are old enough to talk to your parents about this. Florida has nothing to do with your skin color.

it depends, are you really black, or are you just a little darker? if you are really black and both your parents are white, then you probably have either a different mom or dad. if you are just a pinch darker, then there's nothing to worry about.

You need to ask them....but it shouldn't really matter if you love them and they love you. I don't think it's possible for 2 whites to have a black child, but I'm not sure. Just ask!!!!!!!

maybe they might have adopted u, when u were a baby, so u would grow up to be part of the family. but, u should ask. think about what ur going to say first, before u confront them. try not to offend them. just say that u were curius, about it. i no it may be hard, but try to try. hope this helps!=)

if you're 16 years old and you've just come to this conclusion then there is something wrong. i think this is a fake question, if its not, then talk to your parents immediately about all your suspicions, im sure they will gladly hear you out and answer any questions you have.
