Roller Set your hair. It lasts until you wash (wet) your hair. After you set it...you can leave the big curls from the rollers or you can use a round brush and blow dryer to pull the curls out to make it straight.
Dominican hair salons are very good at doing this.
Key is to use smooth rollers...not velcro ones.

Straigtening biracial hair is a pain! but hotcombs are the best but take the longest. Use moisterizer if you're applying heat and apply the spit test so the comb isnt too hot. Or i've started using conair straightners, the ceramic kind and theyre pretty good.
A relaxer permantly straightens it and makes it a lot easier to handle if you're willign to say bye to your curls for a while.

a chi flat iron, since im sure u dont want to do it permanently by relaxig it, but if u do then relax it with a mild relaxer or a childrens one. go to a beautician though, especially for the first time and make sure its not too strong for your hair.
