If any church shows racism they are wrong and That is the WRONG CHURCH to be involved in for anyone !
God was not that way and neither was Our Lord Jesus.
My Church does not show any of this and will not tolerate it. That's how it should be !
God Bless and look for the Church that's not involved in any of this kind of thing.

We don't, nor do we justify slavery, which is why it no longer exists in the US. I wasn't alive during slavery, so have no clue what kind of nonsense they may have told themselves to justify slavery. Its easy to deceive ourselves with the right motivation, and greed has always been a great motivator. It wasn't just christians who condoned slavery though, it was alive and well in this world way before the birth of Christ.

To answer it plainly no slavery has never been justified. It has been pushed and shoved under rugs. Treated as if it is just a way for black people to get pity for themselves. Then historians finding things that say that we sold our own people into slavery. It wasn't just the whites the Spanish did it too. The one thing is that God is what helped blacks make it through the struggle. If we learn to lean not on our own understanding we will continue to preserver.

They don't! If we look in the bible it talks about slavery but in the New Test. it is mainly about being a slave to God. Racism in Churches is up to the individual and church itself. The question here is why are there so many churches that separate themselves? What I mean is that you have baptist, Catholics, Prots and Episcopalian and then you have the non-denominational church that believes in welcoming everyone no matter what their color or past! This is a great question you asked and I hope I was able to redirect it more for you

racism is not justified by Christianity and actually the church is more diverse racially than almost anything else.. many churches are among the most diverse places you will find... and some the opposite
slavery was also ended largely in Christian noations by the work of evangelicals and their influence, note the life of Englishman Wiberforce and the famous plate made by the Wedgewoods about "I am a man and a brother"
slavery continues mostly in Islamic nations today
divorse is allowed in the BIble yet God says He hates divorse... slavery is allowed in the Bible but it dowsnt mean it is good.
God himself amazingly allowed HImself to be valued at the price of a cheap slave... 30 pieces of silver... and Jesus becdame a slave... we infact need to let Jesus serve us... on the corss... before we can serve Him acceptably.

All christians are hypocrites! Can't you see?The evidence keeps cropping up and yet nobody takes any notice. They all live their lives through the eyes of other christians, and try to be all holier than thou, pretending to help the needy, the sick and the homeless,in the belief that they will be admitted into the kingdom of so called 'heaven' and while they are at it,want to be known as good righteous people.Yet they cannot abide people of a different skin colour to theirs, nor can they abide people from other fates classes and cultures. In my estimation anybody who holds the bible so close to their chest are ignorant fools who dont realize that the bible is outdated and is no more than a history book at best. Also the same thing applies to other faiths. They have all done more harm than good in this civilisation if you asked me.People should break from the shackles of religion and just believe in themselves, afterall,we are all mini-gods.See if the world does not turn out to be a better place without them.

People can justify just about anything. It's easy. Christians are notorious for taking snippits out of the Bible and using them completely out of context to support whatever hate-based beliefs they have. What a sad state Christianity has become. Jesus would be like "Um... You just don't get it, do you? You're basically making a mockery of me and basic human kindness and dignity. Since when was I all about being so rigid about some verses in a book?"

Christians lead the abolitionist movement in America. That is a historical fact.
The vast majority of Christians do NOT support or justify racism in their churches. That is a statistical fact.

I think your making a presumption that it exsist! alot of churches are very diverse in ethnicity.Just because a churches population is 99 percent black that dosent mean whites cant attend, alot of what your seeing is the prefrence in the style of worship and where you feel most comfortable attending. On the other hand churches are just bodies of sinners coming together to worship.
I am not aware of any church that justifies slavery are you?Unless your talking about Christians be servants to Jesus christ/their fellow man and the gospel.

There were and are people who called themselves Christians and who are racist and who supported slavery. Insofar as they attempted to justify it, they found obscure biblical texts to support their position. Particularly Genesis 9, 20-29. If you look it up, you'll see how far they had to stretch the story to make it justify anything except not looking at your Dad in the nude!
