Yes in that they require a good deal of studying for you to get good grades (B up to an A).

What has worked a lot for me is to go through the textbook and your notes and practice problems (if it's a math or science class) and write down a new set of notes combining everything you think you'll need to know for the test. Then study that list. Just going through your old stuff and writing it down again helps a lot. And don't stress too much, because if it's hard for you, it's going to be hard for everyone else too.

At my highschool they graded the midterms and finals on a curve. So if you had a uber smart person in your class you had to really study because the teachers would be grading harder. I don't know how it is at your high. Just study and keep up with your class. Usually if you fail the midterm you would fail the final and have to take summer school. Good Luck!

They reflect on every single test you have taken in school. They are just long (acculmative), and it also depends on you teacher, but also the class (the kids can be loud after the finish because once they finish! Well, everyone has to be finished!), also they are long! that is my only real problem is that you can take it and the entire class is finished you are stuck in school for another hour!
