The simplest answer is macaroni salad. Here's why: Carbs turn into sugar turn into fat. Pasta is straight carbs. No pasta= less fat. I've lost 35 pounds paying attention to this. Trust me.

The cabbage in the coleslaw has very little fattening. It depends on what is in the dressing. I have seen clear dressing with little to no calories. I have seen creamy dressing that was fattening.
In the macaroni salad you have the carbs of the strach in the macaroni. The dressing may be creamier too.

Depends on how you fix it...Coleslaw has vegetables-you can fix it with low fat mayo and enjoy some. Mac salad can be more nutritious by using egg whites, low fat mayo and vegetable pasta.
