Oh, ya gotta have butter-rich mashed red potatoes (skin on). Then steam corn kernels in butter with lemon pepper (not too much water). Buttermilk biscuits (Betty Crocker recipe)! And a little green salad with carrot shavings, raddishes and french dressing.
Apple crisp and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Mashed potato's leave the skin in, biscuits w/good yeast, and maybe fried corn.

6 ears corn
2 tablespoons fresh bacon drippings or butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
(I would use canned corn to cut on time) Heat a heavy skillet and add the bacon fat or butter. When hot, add corn and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring often. Sprinkle sugar salt pepper.

Mac & cheese, greens, corn bread.....
Potato Salad, greens (I prefer collards), biscuts
It all depends on how much cooking you want/like to do and how much time you have.
