Yeah right! Because murdering, torturing, and raping his own citizens was TOTALLY holding the country together...

gerald: ANY nation would of crucified Jesus Christ had He chose to be there. Firstly; the U.S. did not kill Saddam ... the Iraqi government did. Saddam was dead years and years of go, long before his rise to power and demise. Saddam was a man tormented from within. He hated, murdered and raised 2 sons to carry on the ethnic cleansing, had he continued uninterrupted. I'm Canadian and support the Iraqi government in their execution of Saddam ... the "butcher" of Baghdad ! By the way, there are still Nazis around, who think Hitler was a "not so bad of guy" too ! If murder is the only way to "hold a fractured nation together", then, count me out. The current laws in the land of Iraq called for Saddam's execution. They [government] did it FOR him not TO him !!! Justice has been served !!!
P.S. Finally; an issue where most of the atheists, gnostics and God believers can be in agreement on. The evolution of "common" sense ... perhaps ?

1 the US did not kill him,Iraq did
2 you do the crime you do the time(hanging)
3 I agree with you in holding a fragile system together
4 Why are you so arrogant and ignorant addressing Americans who never did anything to you or your precious Saddam.
5 I don't know if you've noticed oh illiterate one,Jesus is not here at the moment but he had already the experience.
6 don't speak for the rest of the planet dude, as that is an insult for so many who feel as I do,American or not, but tired of innocent people in the US being blamed for everything others cant fix themselves. For example:
My cat just puked up a fur ball lets blame Americans!
my toilets overflowing lets blame Americans!
my car is out of gas lets blame Americans!
my tonsils are inflamed lets blame Americans!
I am sooo tired of this generalization of a country when we all know exactly that for thousands of years there has been crap going wrong in the middle east.way out of the hands of any one.
But because of the incompetence of your countries leaders to make peace and friendship -war ,violence and terrorism was the alternative chosen.
So what does that have to do with Americans-huh?
Who are you calling arrogant here!
oh whatever-you are not worth another second of my time!

Excuse me, the Americans did not kill Saddam, they captured him at the end of the war and handed him over to the Iraqi Government. He was tried for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide by the Iraqi Government, he was found guilty by the Iraqi Government, and the IRAQI Government carried out the sentence.
You also forget that Iraq now has a free press, which means they report a lot of things which are "bad news", after all, "bad news" sells better than "good news".

There are some simple minded people here. Of course the US was responsible for saddams execution, that's the main reason they ionvaded Iraq. It just shows what happens when you are no longer of use to the US. Allies and enemies, it's all the same to them.
You would think that the US would learn from experience. When they create a power vaccuum, chaos results, just look at Afghanistan. Look at whet happened in eastern Europe when the Soviet Union collapsed, tyrants that had been kept under control emerged and wars erupted.
This will coninue to happen while the US continues it's imperialist strategies.

Being right and being popular are two different things. Being right and having the courage to do something about it are strange bedfellows also. It's not easy to do the right thing when so many are against us but we do it anyways. We are so stretched out right now because no one else wants to take responsibility to fight the injustices in the world. I guess my question to you is why aren't you or your countrymen doing anything about the wrongs in this world? Are you afraid that people won't like you anymore? Are hurt feelings a good enough excuse to look the other way when people are being mass-murdered or whole populations of women are being raped?

Well, actually we just left the Iraqis do it.
You act like Saddam wasn't a mass murdering bas****. In case you haven't noticed, even the guys that were on his side really didn't get all that worked up about it. On less murdering ****** in the world is a good thing rather you want to admit it or not.

Hate to break it to you but Americans didn't do the dirty deed. You're the one spewing the arrogance, then sit around wondering why Americans jump people like you for trash talk! The whole planet IS puke, that's the big point you're missing... it's ALL puke. We're all surrounded by arrogant, over-opininated ignorant asses and stupid comments, like this one of yours, who think the whole world revolves around them and their sense of self-cherisment... you all create your own HELL and it's damned tiring listening to you whine about it. You want a better world start working to create one or shut up.

I do not think the US can take complete credit for this, after all there was an Iraqi trial was there not?
in any case Saddam was responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths in his life.... Jesus Christ willingly died to save people. He laid down his life and raised himself up from the grave... Saddam is still dead
not the same
