I've been doing a little wedding dress shopping and was wondering if I should allow my fiance to view the dresses online with me. I know he shouldn't see me in the gown before the wedding, but should I also avoid viewing them online with him?
I just want to make sure I can find a dress we'll both like.

Thanks!

It is fine if you would like him to view the dresses with you. After all you will be making joint decisions for the rest of your lives together. Not seeing the bride is just folk lore. The dress alone won't be what he is looking forward to anyway. It's you in the perfect dress, on the first day of your lives together as husband and wife.
Good Luck and I wish you many happy years together.

I don't know about the whole luck thing, but why would you want him to see a picture of the gown instead of having a jaw-dropping experience when you walk down the aisle??? I didn't give my husband any idea what my dress was going to look like - it was snug and sexy - very Jessica Rabbitt. He started to cry when I walked down the aisle. He later told me he was thinking, "OH MY GOD! I'M MARRYING HER!" Let your groom to be experience the full effect of you in your gown.

I've heard that the superstition is that he shouldn't see you before the wedding on the day of - I've never heard that he shouldn't see the dress - or you in it. And it's just an old superstition anyway - do what works for you. Congratulations!

Of course. He may see a picture, but there is nothing that can compare to the way you will look as his bride in a wedding dress.

No, it's just fine. That superstition came from pagan origins and is in the same boat with having so many bridesmaids and the 'something old, new, borrowed, blue' idea. You have nothing to worry about.

Yes! Besides, the moment that he first sees the dress, you in the dress, should be as you walk down the aisle. Don't rob yourselves of this magical moment!

I think it all depend on what and your groom believe in. My husband saw my dress beofre the wedding just not me in it.

I dont see the harm in it. Unless you do that photo thing where you put yourself into the dress with a picture of yourself, haha.

Show him pictures. Just down tell him which gown will be your final decision.
