Sure why not? It's so healthy like/ love people with or without a chance. We do it all the time with Superstars.
the only exception is-
if one of your friends like the same guy, then save it.

That depends on what sort of friends you have. If you have some very good friends, then yes by all means share your thoughts and feelings about this guy that you like with them. However if you have friends that are what I call mouthy then I suggest that you keep that information to yourself if you don't want it all over your school or wherever.
How do you know that you wouldn't have a chance with this guy anyway? Have you personally talked to him or has he in some way told you himself this? If not since this is a new year make a new start and just tell this guy your interested in him. Don't be shy, he's not going to bite you.
A lot of time girls make this mistake of being so shy instead of just coming out of the box and let someone know how they feel. Sure it's ok to be shy, but meanwhile some other girl might be working up the courage to tell this guy how they feel.
Start off each morning saying good morning! later when you pass this guy say Hi how's your day going? Smile and keep walking away slowly. Soon you'll work off that shyness if that's the case. And you'll soon find out if this guy and you have a chance that you seem that think don't.

that all depends on whether your friends can keep secrets or not. i was friends with one girl last year that blabbed everything i told her. now im friends with someone i KNOW will always keep a secret no matter what. i guess it all kinda depends on how close you are to your friends. if theyre trustworthy then tell them. that way they actually might be able to help you with guy troubles.

I have the exact same dillema!! I love this guy, but we have like nothing in common and he is an ***hole but I still like him. My friends hate him, but I think I'm going tell them.

I never tell my friends the guy I like. It just causes problems, well it has with me anyways. If you want to tell them then tell them, if you don't don't tell them. Simple as that.

if they are your real friends then you can trust them, but if your not sure if they will tell him then I would keep it to myself, and how do you know you don't have a chance with him maybe you should flirt a little and see if he flirts back give yourself a chance

ya, tell your friends. if you have no chance, they can help you to cope with the feelings u hav 4 him if he doesn't want u. my friends r lifesavers when it comes to guys, i'll say that much. ;)
