My husband & I (early 30's) have never been to Canada. We live in Indiana. What part of Canada should we visit? Things that may interest us are hiking, sightseeing, wildlife, etc. Is there any parts of Canada that pot is legal also? Thanks.

British Columbia! Without a doubt!
This province is spectacular!
I would recommend the Vancouver area, because it's a beautiful city, with lots to do, including outdoors activities. From there, take a ferry to Victoria, spend a few days if you can and explore Vancouver Island. Then, go east, and visit Banff, Jasper National Park, the Columbia Icefields, and Lake Louise.

Look these places up online. You will be pining to go visit!

Go to the Rockies - Kananaskis and Banff mght be good. They are a bit touristy, but nice places to hike and stuff. There are some nice mountains just west of Calgary that are nice for day hikes: Mount Yamnuska and Heart Mountain are good starters. If you want to see a lot of wildlife, there is usually more on the highway from Edmonton to Jasper, but that is much further north. In between Edmonton and Calgary and a bit west, there is a place called Nordegg that has some nice cabins, beautiful hikes, rock climbing and white water rafting.

The other poster mentioned Kamloops and Clearwater, which would take you even further west. There is an excellent place near Clearwater called Wells Grey Park - they have beautiful waterfalls and excellent hiking and there are fewer tourists there.

I live in Ontario, but just last summer i travelled to British Columbia. I stayed on Vancouver Island near Victoria for a few days. I also stayed north of Kamloops, in Clearwater. I'd have to say that staying in Clearwater was the best. During my trip I went white water rafting and did some hiking. The area around Kamloops is georgous. The mountains are amazing and there is lots of wildlife. I'm not quite to sure about the pot though. Good luck.

HI im from edmonton, and I want to move to British Columbia...BADLY! That is the best place in canada I think, and I have lived in Ontario, Edmonton.
Try going to Canmore, everyone says go to jasper, but its not that great, maybe 7 out of 10.
Oh, Campbell River is kinda nice for a small town too. But not much happens. That is where I want to move!
Vancouver is the best. The worst would be Calgary, its kinda yucky.

Marijuana is not legal! Possesion of small amounts (less than 15 grams) might not be prosecuted but you're taking a chance. British Columbia seems to be easier on pot. It's also a great place to visit, Vancouver Island is beautiful.

It really depends on when you plan to visit (winter, summer, fall etc). Summer time you should really spend time in the maritime provinces, you'll get great food, friendly people, wildlife, fishing etc.

Pot is not legal. As usual your news media right wing god freaks got it wrong. We decriminalized it. So you will be fined for possion be not likely thrown into a federal jail as a result of your crime.

you will desire to be waiting to get a return flight from l. a. to Montreal for $1000. motels in city centres may well be very costly (>$2 hundred/night). extremely much less interior the suburbs, yet i could funds a minimum of $a hundred/night. nutrition expenses would be such as l. a.. speedy nutrition expenses would be comparable (although you will not locate as many bargains), eating place expenses would have a similar selection as lower back homestead. you will locate extremely priced eating places, and ridiculously costly ones. As continuously, vacationers pay extra as a results of fact they don't have the time to locate the final bargains. i could agree you're watching a minimum of $5000 for the holiday.
