1. Gently detangle hair from ends up to roots using a "hair friendly" comb or your fingers.
2. Separate hair into individual 2" strands.
3. Start at the back of your head using a round Boar's head or similar style brush to build in volume for each of the individual strands while directing the air flow of a blow dryer down the shaft from roots to ends.
Continue to blow dry until each section is 100% dry.
4. Once hair is 100% dry, separate into 2-3" strands and roll entire head of hair with hot rollers.
5. Allow the newly created curls to completely cool before removing hot rollers once at a time. Spray the newly created curls with a hair spray.
6. Use a boar's head brush and lightly brush the curls into a finished style. With a long tail comb create a center part directly off the hairline. Use fingers to arrange waves and curls as desired.
7. For added curl and wave definition, use a small barrel curling iron to create random curls and then use fingers to merge into the rest of the waves. Lightly fingerpick the waves along the sides of your head.

For starters wash your hair with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner like one from Pantene or Redken. Use a volumizing products and either set your hair in large rollers or blow dry it.
If you use rollers spray them with hair spray and once dry, remove them and break up the curls with your fingers. If you blow dry your hair dry you wanna have a handy tool for touching up curls. Use a large barrel curling iron, one that is fairly large in diameter (about 1 1/2 inches or more http://www.hotus.com/products/ht/index.htm) and wrap your hair around it starting from the middle and wrapping the ends around it while winding up. This way the curl isn't weighted towards the bottom. Once finished, set with some hair spray for added hold.
There is a possibility that your hair may be too long, this may cause your curls not to hold from the weight of the hair.

A large curling iron will do the trick. There's some tutorials on youtube that will help you work it. You can always go to a salon and have them do your hair. Or get a perm so it will last longer. That can cost alot fo money though. You get always go to Walmart and get some big rollers :) When your hair is curled be sure to hairspray it and don't touch it much! Hope I helped!

To get soft loose ones you can try big rollers, and leave them in while you sleep. Never try to do it after you shower if you have really straight hair or it will slip out. Sometimes people put gels on the roller so your hair stays in curls. If not maybe try heated rollers, people say it helps but heat can sometimes damage your hair.

I recommend using Herbal Essences Totally Twisted shampoo and conditioner, then scrunching it with the totally twisted mousse. Use a diffuser to dry it. If your curls are still tight, use a curling iron AFTER all of this.
I hope this helps.

Invest in some good large velcro curlers. Get some that can conduct heat. Roll damp hair up with them and secure with hair pins. Blow dry with heat and leave in for about 20mins (pref. longer), untill your hair is dry and the curlers have lost their heat when you feel them. Pull out swiftly, you can secure with hairspray but you dont have to.

I always thought curlers did that...but anyway, I think "big, bouncy curls" are a natural thing that you can't just make

what i do is get the "granny" curlers, the ones that are short, fat, and you plug them up and heat them. wrap a middle-sized peice of your hair around the curler. when you take them down spray them, one at a time! as long as you use the short fat rollers it should work out for you! good luck!

The bigger the roller, the looser the curl.
