If Jesus is God, why would he need to get married?

Jesus is God's son and part of the holy trinity.

Jesus didn't get married.

If he did; it wouldn't have been a secret; nothing else in his life was. Jesus was real and didn't hide anything from anyone.

Da Vinci code; is pure fiction.

That is sort of a silly question. First off, only about half the things in the movie are true. The other half is false of exaggerated. You can look it all up for yourself online. Secondly, although many "believe" Jesus to be god or the son of god there is no evidence to prove such claims. People like to cite the bible as evidence but the bible is not historical fact. The four gospels weren't even written until 70 or more years after Jesus' death. As you can imagine the facts were probably lost over that time. Jesus didn't write anything he said down and as far as we know no one else wrote down what he said or did as it happened. On top of that there were hundreds of gospels in existence back then. The four in the bible were voted on so just imagine if they voted differently... certain people would possibly believe differently. So what that means is your question does make very much sense. The truth is, Jesus was most likely just a regular man that had some nice things to say - so he very well could have been married or had a female companion.

Jesus is Gods son, and the Da Vinci Code is fiction that plays with different theories.

Jesus is not God, he's God's son. Read the Bible. And in other words, the Da Vinci Code is just a fictional movie. None of it is real.

If you know the bible at all then you would realise that Jesus was human just like us. He felt anger, compassion, sorrow, and most of all love. While he was said to be the son of god he was also a man with all that goes along with it. While the da vinci code may be a work of fiction it has some basis in historical research and while I am unsure as to wether the assertion that he had a child and got married is true I do beeive that he tried to model himself in his fathers image. This being the case it would stand to reason that just like god his father impregnated mary so Jesus would want to impregnate a mary too.

Well since the question is ABOUT the Da Vinci code..
if you read the book or saw the movie, you could've answered this for yourself as it's clearly explained.. before the Council of Nicea declared that Jesus was God (and this is one of the few parts that is actual history), there were many sects of christianity that did not see Jesus as God, and thought it was blasphemy to say otherwise.
His point was that Jesus was a Jew, and in Jewish culture, it was common for those who were rabbis to be married.
It would not have been a big deal if he was.. except to the Church after the Council of Nicea.

Jesus was a perfect man. No where in the New Testament it is mentioned that he got married.
Da Vinci Code is a novel.. a fiction.. he can write whatever he wants.

The novel The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction, therefore your question is not valid.

A 'Rabbi' should have been married.

The way JC was treated at the Wedding Feast in Cana leads to the conclusion, by some, He was the Bridegroom!!

But, He was there to show a whole new way of relating to G-d. Being married to any one individual would have - at the least - been a hcndicap to Him 'marrying' the Church!!

And the book is fiction!!

JC was God Incarnate, tied to the Father and the Holy Spirit in a way we'll never understand. And no need to marry - you're right there.
