Great question. Sex is a factor in a relationship, but it should not be THE factor. Some people will say it's more or less important than emotional connections, but most of the time, the two are so intertwined that are indistinguishable-- when you love someone, the sex is good/when the sex is good, you think you love them.
I suppose it comes down to priorities...And when you're talking long-term relationships, sex becomes less important and mental stimulation becomes vital...

Sex alone is not a good enough reason to commit yourself exclusively to one person unless all you care about is sex. Your friend is risking STDs with the man she is tying herself down to, not to mention what he's actually saying about her performance by cheating on her. I think she's being rather foolish and disrespectful of herself.

it depends on who the man is because usually a man just does a one night stand on a girl and forgets about her
so if ur thinking of having sex with a man, then be sure that he wont dump u right away or something to that extent

from a guys point of view, being good in bed is a plus. being bad in bed, it just won't last. friendship, liking the same things, him being proud of you, making him feel wanted and loved, those are what makes a good relationship.

Ok, sex is very important, but it isn't more important than other factors...like trust and honesty and friendship
