Try turning the flash off.
Also, make sure (if you have this setting) to turn the night settin off because it has a bright flash. Instead us the normal, or auto setting.

Keep in mind though, that cameras always wash people out.

PS ~ If your taking pics for fun or Myspace or whatever, try wearing blush. It will add color to your pale skin!

Hope I helped!

Would help to know the make/model of the camera...... some have settings to adjust white balance........ others don't......... try shutting off the flash / fiddling with different settings for the flash (if available) / try taking the shot from a bit further back.

It depends on the camera you have.. you may have the option to change it to a different kind of flash so that it isn't so bright. Also, check the exposure settings, that may help.

1) move further from your subject if you are using your flash
2) use the "general" camera setting (not shutter or aperature priority) until you learn more about how to use the camera.
3) check the shutter speed and the brightness (EV)
4) check the ISO setting, "Auto" will work fine until you learn more.

check your user manual to verify the settings on your camera...

Good luck and happy shooting
