Would a nose ring set off airport metal detectors? If so do you think they would make me take it out?

I travel ALL the time and my wedding ring and engagement ring NEVER set off metal detectors. As long as your nose ring has no more metal than a wedding ring, and if it did, I'd think it would pull off your nose, then you should be fine.
The few times I've been "wanded", they stop at things like my watch and rings and do not make me remove them.

No, a nose ring will not set it off. I was in the airport the other day and watched someone with a lot of piercings get through security without the alarm going off, so you should not have any worries.

I fly like a million times a month, rarely ever does jewelery set the metal detector off, but if it does they will just wand you over quickly, its really not a set back.

Little amounts like studs and nose rings shouldn't, plus it's visible and harmless. So I don't see any reason why they'd make you take it out or even try to make you take it out.
