I perfer nice king crab legs fresh from the market, but if you have them frozen it is fine. Get out your biggest pot, then get a strainer. One you do fill the pot with water. Once you do put the pot of water on the stove and let it boil. Once to a boil put the strainer on top. (make sure the strainer fits before you put it on top) if the strainer fits put the crab in the strainer. Waite um about 15-30 min for it yo be steamed. Then you have steamed ready to crack and eat king crab. That's how my uncle makes it in his restaurant Michael's Steak Chalet in lake of the Ozarks Missouri. The link bellow takes you to the Yahoo Local on Michael's Steak Chalet. I think somewhere there will be a menu but I am not sure. Thanks and I hope you enjoy.

Check out Food Networks website. Look in the section for the show "Good Eats". Alton Brown did a whole show on this. He explained important things like how almost everywhere in the US does not get their King Crabs fresh. It was also explained that they always come already cooked and frozen. When you cook them you only need to heat them up. This is important since over cooked Kind Crab is like rubber. good luck.

King Crab in any store in America is already cooked. Just wrap a leg in a moist paper towel and microwave for 2 minutes.

Make it easy on yourself and save the mess. Cut the shells a bit with a big knife or some kitchen scissors. Put it on a pan with a small edge (like a jellyroll pan) and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Comes out perfect every time.
